the fly-over ramp used for h.o.v. traffic at rush hour is now closed as a result, and everyone is forced into the main line of i-270. you can see the cars a bit elevated, that's rock ledge drive as people are trying to deal with the beltway closed in terms of coming north on 270 making alternate routes and coming down rock ledge to join the traffic. it has been hellacious for drivers here. this is how it was explained by a police officer on the scene. we are on the fly-over ramp, that the bus was traveling on just before it left the road. as you walk up or drive up this fly-over ramp, to the left there is a guard rail similar to those that you see along many roads. guard rail, if we can come over this way, it looks exactly like this. this one is rusted but it seems to be pretty firm. i'll ask our photographer to do something difficult and watch very closely, follow where that car is backing up with the emergency lights on and you can see where the guard rail ends and the first bridge abutment begins. it is at that poi

what are they doing to us? we need to win tonight, keep pace with the padres. patchy fog, a little breezy. kind of a raw game. 62 degrees dropping to 59. clouds will overspread most of our neighborhoods again tonight with the coolest weather in the north bay, low 50s there, mid to upper 50s for the rest of us. a look upstairs. still tracking our area of low pressure. our weekend weather maker hanging out to the west as this warmer, drier ridge holds on today and tomorrow. as we head to friday, the clouds start to roll in, the sea breeze returns. the cooler weather arrives and the cold front itself will start to roll in friday night and into saturday. in fact, here we are for thursday. friday morning into friday evening, dry. by saturday morning some light rain developing in the north bay. that's where it will stay for the most part saturday and also along the coast. could have measurable rain at the higher elevations, quarter to a half inch. notice the temperatures across the board saturday and sunday will be about 2 degrees cooler at the coast to about 8 to 10
